Wild
Lotus reflects the natural beauty all around us in Mother
nature. The Lotus being the ancient Indian symbol of, the
enfoldment of the chakras into petals. The growth of the Lotus
from the mud is a powerful reminder of our earthly beginnings and the
karma we must break through in order to become enlightened, just as
the Lotus reaches for the light and becomes a
majestic fragrant flower. This is our metaphor for life.
Since first going east in 1978 in-between study at University Gerard Menzel has devoted himself to the study of eastern arts. Gerard has intensely studied Asian culture and continues to understand and perfect; Aikido, Tai Chi, Yoga, Sumie painting and Tabla. The Wild Lotus Workshops in Schools has received recognition as a quality performance by government Australia Arts bodies. Gerard presents his interpretation of original teachings which he has gleaned from authentic Asian experts in their field. We offer; a Path of Cultivation steeped in the tradition of Taoism, Zen Buddhism and Yoga. Our "Way" is the path of self discovery free from any bondage from the mind, emotions or body. Complete Peace and Emptiness is our Beloved. With patience we gradually work towards our goal.
